Jonathan Guisolan: Chasing History on the Velodrome – 6 Hours, 276,795 km

Imagine riding your bike non-stop for six hours at an average speed of 46.1 km/h. That exactly was the goal of Swiss triathlete and time trial specialist Jonathan Guisolan. He wanted to break the world record for the furthest distance ever cycled in 6 hours – and he did it. The previous mark of 274.72 km set by Ryan Collins in 2024 is now history. Jonathan pushed the limits of human performance and rode an astonishing 276,795 kilometers for six hours straight. A bold, blistering challenge that demands absolute precision, endurance, and speed.

A Journey Like No Other

Jonathan’s path to professional sport was far from conventional. He didn’t grow up in national development programs or supported by federations. He started competing at the age of 23, with no official backing, no roadmap – just sheer drive and self-belief. Step by step, he built himself up, alone, through trial, error, and relentless hard work. He reached the pro level through pure determination, carving out his own way in a system that rarely favors late starters.

But the biggest challenge came off the bike: In 2020, Jonathan lost his girlfriend – the love of his life. It was a devastating blow that shattered his world. “I thought it was the end of my life as well,” he says. “I didn’t think I could ever be happy again.” The grief was overwhelming, and for a time, even the idea of moving forward felt impossible. But somehow, he got back up. “It was a long and difficult path. But having overcome something so unbelievably hard made me stronger. Whatever challenge I face today, I know it can’t be as difficult as the past years.”

The Record: 6 Hours on the Track

The attempt demanded more than just raw speed. Every detail had to be perfect. Six hours on the velodrome means no drafting, no coasting, no margin for error. Just relentless pedaling, lap after lap, with complete focus. Jonathan’s ride wasn’t just fast – it was controlled, consistent, and courageous.
