Modern printing technology allows the production of individual sportswear for almost all kinds of sport - regardless of production volume. For articles of not exceeding 1’000 items per article we apply modern state-of-the-art digital printing technique. This printing technology allows the mirroring of computer designs onto an ink carrying transfer paper which then is thermo-transferred by hand onto the precut textile piece. Digital printing allows endless variations of colours and enables competitive and fast production irrespective of the size of smaller series. Rotary printing is used for more than 1’000 items per article. Prints are rotary printed onto paper rolls allowing then the design to be thermo-transfered from the printed paper roll onto the textile roll. Once the printing is finished the textile roll is cut into textile pieces. For each colour a separate paper roll needs to be produced and transferred onto the textile roll which can be quite time-consuming. Hence a minimum of a 1’000 items per article are needed to make this printing technology operationally and financially viable. |
